Hours: Full-time
Remuneration: $350/ week ($3,500 for 10-weeks)
Housing: Provided

Responsibilities: Intern will be responsible for working closely with the Director of Youth Ministry (DYM) to help plan and lead in-town programming. He/She will be solely responsible for leading programming while the DYM is away at summer conferences. Responsibilities may include: mid-week programs for Middle School and Sr. High; fellowship activities; Sunday School, and other special events. Intern may also help with programming for College Students. Programming may occur in the evenings or on weekends.
The intern will work through the DYM in planning and executing events, taking the leadership role if the DYM is away. Intern will have flexibility and ownership in the devising of the activities. Intern may or may not act as an Advisor on one conference trip during the summer, based on need and the decision of the Youth Director. Intern will take an active role in the Middle School mission week, working with that planning team in the execution of the event, and will travel with the group for a day of water fun. Intern will be expected to be present on Sunday mornings for Worship and Sunday School, possibly taking teaching responsibilities.
Intern will also keep office hours during the week, attend all staff and pertinent committee meetings alongside, or in lieu of, the DYM. Intern will have opportunities to spend time with the DYM and other members of the staff, growing and learning in their ministry. They will be expected to maintain personal devotional life and to spend time regularly with the Supervising Pastor reflecting on their ministry. The intern is expected to develop relationships with the youth and their families, and to use their particular gifts creatively in ways that we cannot foresee.
Relationships: The Intern will be responsible to the Director of Youth Ministries and the Youth Ministry Committee. He /She will also work with the Ministry and the entire staff in planning and coordinating programs and building use. A Supervising Pastor will supervise his or her theological reflection on their ministry. The Youth Director will supervise his or her performance in program areas.
