Presbyterian Student Assoc. Pastoral Intern Position
- Comprehensive Internship in Campus Ministry with the Presbyterian Student Association – Columbia (SC) and Shandon Presbyterian Church
- 10 month position, usually starting beginning of July or August and running through the end of the academic year; 12 months possible, along with additional year
- Campus ministry primary responsibilities are:
- 1/3 administrative
- 1/3 pastoral care and outreach to students
- 1/3 programmatic (planning, staffing, leading ministries and events)
- Within those ministry areas, Intern can focus her/his time and energies, at least to some extent, to fit their interests, gifts or skills.
- Yearly stipend of $14,000.00, plus an allowance for health insurance and free housing at the Presbyterian Student Center [apartment, basic cable and all utilities (including wireless internet) with the exception of personal phone]. PSA would also make a monthly contribution towards the Intern’s cell phone.
- If Intern chose to live off-site, yearly stipend would be $17,000.00, plus an allowance for health insurance.
- Spring break or Maymester mission trip working experience included
- If Intern felt led to fundraise additional funds for her/his Internship, PSA could help facilitate that fundraising.
- Intern would be responsible for all taxes. PSA could help facilitate this accounting matter.
